Hi, I’m Abbey Saunders-the owner of Foxfire K9.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple goal: to make dogs’ lives better. I believe dogs deserve more than simply being cared for. They deserve opportunities to use their bodies, engage their minds, build confidence, experience the world, and do the things they were bred to do. My work with dogs has always been driven by a desire to give them fuller, more enriching lives while continuing to learn how I can be a better handler, trainer, and advocate for them. Dog sports have become a huge part of that journey. I spend much of my time training and competing with my own dogs, working toward titles across different sports and exploring the individual strengths of each dog in front of me. I love watching a dog gain confidence, develop new skills, and discover an activity they genuinely enjoy. While earning titles is incredibly rewarding, the relationship built with the dog along the way will always matter more to me than the letters after their name. That same philosophy carries into Foxfire K9. My focus is on dog sports, enrichment, and small-scale boarding, rather than traditional dog walking or high-volume pet care. I want the dogs entrusted to me to be treated as individuals, with their personalities, needs, routines, and comfort taken seriously. I’m especially passionate about sporting and working dogs, but above all, I appreciate dogs for what they are. I believe good training and thoughtful care should add to a dog’s life—not simply make them easier for us to live with. Foxfire K9 is an extension of that belief. Whether I’m working toward the next title with one of my own dogs or caring for someone else’s, my goal remains the same: give dogs opportunities to thrive, strengthen the relationship between dogs and their people, and leave every dog’s life a little better because I was part of it.
